so much before all beginning,
and I would like to beg you,
dear Sir, as well as I can,
to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart
and to try to love the questions themselves
as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language.
Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now,
because you would not be able to live them.
And the point is,
to live everything. Live the questions now.
Perhaps then, someday far in the future,
you will gradually, without even noticing it,
live your way into the answer.

the work for which all other work is but preparation.”

你是如此年輕，
一切都還在開始之初，
親愛的先生，
我要盡我所能祈求你，
要有耐心地去面對每一件無法解決的事，
試著去愛那些難題。
將它們當作一間上了鎖的房間；
或是一本陌生外文書籍。
別找尋目前得不出的答案，
因為你無法活出他們。
重點在於：活出當下的一切，
活在問題中，
或許有一天，不知不覺地，
你漸漸活進答案之中。
對於人來說，愛一個人，
是所有任務中最艱難，
最終極的試煉與考驗，
所有其他都是為了愛人而做的準備。
